International school fees rising steadily has recently released the results of its annual worldwide survey, ExpatFinder International School Fee Survey 2016, which is designed to provide guidance on navigation cost challenges relating to global relocation. The survey also captures opportunities for companies to remain attractive to foreign talents.

There is an ongoing trend of employers replacing traditional expat packages with local contract, which increases the burden on expats considerably. This shifts a lot of the cost on the expat and its family and a many are forced to enroll their children into local schools instead of enrolling them into the international schools, as they need to cover this cost themselves being on a local contract.

The cost of international schooling continues to be a major challenge for both expatriates and HR departments, as they want to have both competitive and cost-effective benefits programmmes.
